Survey of Members Willingness to Download the News Letter from the Web to Save Printing & Post Costs
POSSIBLE SAVINGS IN SUBSCRIPTION FEES AND U3A RUNNING COSTS
Due to the ever increasing costs of postage, room hire etc the committee are looking at ways of keeping your membership fees as low as possible. It has been suggested that as at least half of members have access to computers, it might be possible to save money on printing and postage if the Newsletter was made available on our Website. The full printed copy will of course continue to be sent to everyone who wants it in this form - but if say 200 members opted to get their copy from our Website, there could be considerable savings in printing and postage. There could also be other benefits such as being able to see photos in full colour instead of black and white. (We did consider sending the newsletter by email but due to our membership of over 1200 people and the ever changing email addresses this would be quite a task just to keep up-to-date).
We are exploring the possibilities of using the Website – no decisions have been made yet. If we find it would be useful and practical everyone will then be given the option how they want to receive the Newsletter.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN - TO KEEP SUBS LOW FOR US ALL.
If you would be willing to help by getting your Newsletter from our website then please Fill in the form below giving the names of the U3A member/s at your address and, for identy check purposes, the number of your house (or it's name if no number).
