  1. The wine making areas of the world
  2. Grape varieties, viticulture and vinification
  3. Storage, serving, tasting and drinking of wines
  4. How & where to find the best value for money

Group 2

Introduction
Aim:   To learn more about wine through tasting and discussions with other group members.
Evenings are practical and down to earth and meant to be fun!
Normally wines will be from a particular country or region or will be examples of the same or similar grape varieties taken from various countries around the World.
A typical evening will start with a short talk on the region or grape variety, followed by a tasting of the 6 or 7 wines for the evening. Each wine will be discussed in more or less detail, depending on the interest it generates. Notes are generally provided.
On the first evening of the year there will be a short introduction to wine tasting aimed at new members.
