Most of the information on this page is for the U3A year, now ended, Sept 2009 to June 2010.

So far only the Strollers A group have provided details for the year beginning Sept 2010 Autumn Term.

  • Striders Group
Striders at Rudyard Lake
  • Two walks a month Wednesdays.
  • Meet at 9.20 at the Brittles (Wistaston Sports Centre) Car Park and go by car to the starting point.
  • The minimum distance is 7 miles.
  • Most walks are 7 to 10 miles with occasional longer walks.
  • A detailed programme is issued
  • Normally, a picnic lunch is taken

IMPORTANT!
  • Suitable walking shoes or boots are essential
  • The U3A's insurance does not cover personal injury or accident except where there has been proven negligence on the part of the organisation.
  • Please remember that you must confirm personally with the leader that you are going on a walk. Also you must advise the leader if wish to cancel your booking
  • KEY to Wistaston Sports Club Car Park: If the car park is locked, a key can be obtained from the Londis Supermarket opposite the School.
    You may be required to leave a deposit for the return of the key!
