Before you can join a group you must become a U3A member. Prospective members can, at the group leader's discretion, attend for 1 or 2 weeks as guests. U3A Membership is restricted to those no longer engaged in full time gainful employment. Annual U3A Membership costs £15. Members then pay 50p for attendance at each session. Some classes have to charge more in order to cover additional overheads such as equipment hire or purchase and accommodation charges.

Refreshments are usually provided at a nominal cost.

Some courses are by arrangement with teaching and local authority organisations. These are separately charged. Some are at no extra cost.

The December 2011 Newsletter (page 2) has more details with regards to class fees. You can access this information by clicking on the following link: Weekly / Termly Class Fees or Levies

If you wish to join or obtain more details on obtaining membership, then click on the 'Joining us' button and/or contact the Membership Secretary (contact details available when you click the 'Contacts' button). The Membership Secretary can also assist you if you wish to communicate with Group Leaders or Committee members. All enquiries are welcome.

Members will receive a full programme, listing: groups, times, dates, venues, group leaders and contact details. A link to a printable copy of the programme is available on the Home Page.
